My Design to Go blog began in October, 2016, as I departed on a yearlong, around the world Design Sabbatical. My goal was to shake up my professional perspective and re-start my design career. I'm interested in all the ways that communication arts intersect with real environments and direct experience. The blog is an informal record of findings on the road; museums, graphic design, street art, random sightings and design thoughts. In the process I discovered the joy of being a "Design Reporter". The constant practice of looking and writing sharpens the eye and mind. 14 countries and more than 200 blog posts later, I returned home, but the blog lives on, by popular demand.
Installments from Design to Go are featured in the newsletter of SEGD (Society of Experiential Designers).
